Hi,

Have 10 G, there are a trace runing which create file in udump.

Efforts to stop the trace failed - tried to stop with:

ALTER SYSTEM SET trace_enabled = FALSE;

Set the sql trace off;

The content of file look like this and is repeated from start to end of file.

Ioctl ASYNC_CONFIG error, errno = 1 /prodapp/oracle/admin/BSCSPROD/udump/bscsprod_ora_18969.trc Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.5.0 - 64bit Production With the Partitioning and Data Mining options ORACLE_HOME = /prodapp/oracle/products/10.1.0.2 System name: HP-UX Node name: apc_prod Release: B.11.23 Version: U Machine: ia64 Instance name: BSCSPROD Redo thread mounted by this instance: 0 <none> Oracle process number: 0 18969

Howdy, Stranger!
