How to rename a ASM/database instance on 11gR2

   Dear all, We have 4 nodes in a 11gR2 rac environment. My problem is that during the installation of the asm  , the instance on the node 1 was named  +ASM2, node2 +ASM3, node3 +ASM4 and node4 +ASM1.

I did not proceeded to the ASM installation so I don't know where the ASM installation was run.

We have the same problem with the database instance names , So I have 3 questions :

1) Why the instance name was not given of a ascendant way ? node1 -> ASM1, node2 -> ASM2 ...

   is it due to the order of the node selection in dbca ?

2) How can I rename the ASM instance on a 11gR2 release ?
