ASM SAN Migration from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003

We are planning on doing a SAN migration with a possible server move as.  We currently run Oracle 10g on Windows 2000 32 bit using 10g ASM.  We are upgrading the SAN but would also like to upgrade the OS as well.  I'm wondering if anyone out there has attempted/completed an ASM disk group move from a Windows 2000 server to a Windows 2003 server.  Our plan would be to shut everything down, do the SAN migration (copy at EMC level) and then attach the LUN's from the old Windows 2000 server to the newer Windows 2003 server.  Oracle support has said that we can't do this
