Upgrade time difference for the same database on same server

Why  there is time difference  when we upgrading the  same database ( using the backup of the source database ) on same machine with a same  load on a system .
first we have upgrade the source database and it took 30 min

then we again restored the source database and upgraded it but this time the same database took 70 min on the same server

Why ?
