Not Able to connect to database to run AWR reports

Hi When we are running awrrpt.sql from sys/system user account  on the server (unix box) it says not connected to oracle and hence not able to genertate the awr reports from systems.

But if try to use TOAD , then I am able to fetch the AWR report.


Using 2143226890 for database Id
Using          1 for instance number
ERROR:
ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE


Disconnected from Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP and Data Mining options.


what could be the issue?
