   Hi all,

i'm configuring my smart-UPS'. There is paramter ''Configure Events-> UPS On Battery". So i want to shutdown my OS when power failure. But before OS will be shut down, all application must close their procceses, e.g. oracle starts dbstop and etc.

How many min OS have to give to oracle to close and be ready to shutdown?

There is SAN: Servers rx6600, OS HP-UX, oracle 10, EVA with a 2 Tb disk arrays. Yeah, sure it depends on transaction and bussiness but appoxialy, is 3-4 min enough or...?

regards and thanks,

rustam
