Oracle-Suggested Backup Strategy

  I have an Oracle 11g v1 database on which I have setup my backup strategy using the Oracle-Suggested Backup Strategy. I am storing all of my backup files in the flash recovery area. I have my backup retention policy set to 7 days. The backup seems to run as scheduled, however, the flash recovery area is growing continuously due to the fact that the files in the BACKUPSET directory are never deleted and are never marked as OBSOLETE. The AUTOBACKUP directory seems to be managed nicely and files are automatically deleted from there regularly. Given that the Oracle-Suggested strategy is
