AD4J monitoring question, what does OSR tell me really?

I am monitoring a couple of JVM's using AD4J and It shows high numbers for the stat OSR. All I can find on OSR as it relates to AD4J is that it suggests a busy CPU. Any help would be appreciated. I've not found any docs that go into that detail.
