OSP - seems broken?

 Hi,

We are struggling to understand when and why you would use OSP?  We are in an average costing environment and our users have just noticed that no OSP Items are having overhead applied to them.


On reading up - we have discovered that this is because OSP costs are treated as a separate 5th cost element different to Material.

This doesn't make a lot of sense to us - we send items out for repair (our primary use of OSP) and receive them in using normal business processes (no different to material) so why wouldn't you want to apply OSP?
