Custom code not working on the 8.98 tools release.

Can some one help with the below.
We are on appl release 8.12 and upgrading tools from 8.96 to 8.98. We are in between the process and have DV ready with our new tools release. While testing we noted that our P4210 which has a certain custom code is not working in the upgraded environment.

Dose anybody know what could be the reason for this to happen.
