RMAN parallelism

Dear all
I need some clarification:

If I configure "RMAN> CONFIGURE DEVICE TYPE DISK PARALLELISM 7;", does I need to allocate channels in my restore scripts?
toady I am doing a restore with RMAN>restore database, is there any way to speed up that restore ?
