Desktop ADI max rows for reasonable performance

We are rolling out a division on EBS v11.5.10.2 and using Desktop ADI.  Existing users are all on Office 2003  but some new users will be on Office 2007.

Please provide feedback on experiences with the maximum number of journal entry rows that can be uploaded with reasonable performance.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
