Merging Posted Assets - R11.5.10.2

 Hello,

Is there a way to combine assets into a single asset after they have been posted from the Mass Additions table?  For example, my client has assets 1, 2 & 4 that should be a single asset.  I read where using the Parent/child relationship, you would still have to perform a transaction for all the subcomponents. 

Would the solution be to retire the three assets and re-add them?  I'm looking for a simple solution because they have hundreds of them like this.
