need to make charge account a display item type on POXPOERL (Releases) form

 Our business need require us to make the Charge Account field on the POXPOERL form not updatable.  Since this is not available through forms personalization -- it is a flexfield, I would like to accomplish this without have to create a custom form.  Is it possible to change this field to a "Display" item through the custom.pll?  Any insight into how to accomplish this is greatly appreciated!
