Tablespace Management

My question is
1) can we change the manual segment management to auto?
2) Will we gain some sort of performance by changing from manual to auto?
3) What is the best practice and method for such action? Export/import? Alter table move tablespace?
4) Our goal is
a) to gain some performance by adopting the best practice setup for tablespace
Problem Description : We are using Oracle database enterprise ver
9.2.0.6 and Oracle E-business suite ver 11.5.9.
We have hundred of
tablespaces that uses by the OEBS and all them created as local extent
management and manual segment management. The total database size is
about 1.2 terabytes and it is growing.
My question is
