Using the Mass Additions Table to Populate LIFE_IN_MONTHS

 Hi-

We are loading legacy data, and plan to use the MASS_ADDITIONS table for LHI assets in order to easily populate their non-standard depreciable lives.  We are on version 11.5.10, and obtained the 11i backport to add the LIFE_IN_MONTHS column to the Table.

The LHI assets have been uploaded and are listed in the Prepare Mass Additions form.  It is my understanding that the Table, which includes MASS_ADDITION IDs, is used to then populate the correct depreciable lives for those line items.

We have been testing this, and have been unable to change the depreciable lives from the life that defaults from the Asset Category (10 yrs).  We are unsure how to proceed... what information needs to be included on the MASS_ADDITIONS Table for the lives to be updated?  Right now, the MASS_ADDITION ID and the LIFE_IN_MONTHS is populated.  Is other information required?  Is DEPRN_METHOD_CODE required?  If so, what is the format required...we use STL method for all assets......not sure if using STL is the correct value, or if needs to be an ID#.  Also, we are using the number of months

Howdy, Stranger!
