Custom Indices in JDE Tables

We at MLCC are in process to upgrade from 8.10 to 9.0. 

On several JDE tables we have deployed our custom indices that we would like to bring forward to JDE 9.0.

My question is that, do the spec merge excercise bring forward and apply all our custom indices or will we need to re-apply all our custom indices again in 9.0 environment?
