Need details about "Adjustments Journal Report"

 Hi,
I am not able to find any documentation about what the "Adjustments Journal Report" does and the meaning of the report's parameters.
Please help understanding the parameter 'Receivable Mode = Yes/No'.
Also, why the report requires to run Create Accounting before displaying data for a given month?
