Journal Entry Approval from entries submitted by either ADI or WebADI
We are looking into using the JE Approval workflow enabling managers to approve their subordinates entries.
Today journal entries are uploaded from spreadsheets using ADI; no one enters journal entries manually using the form. If we implemented the approval workflow today, all accountants would be required, after uploading successfully from ADI, to go into the form, retrieve their entry, and press the "approval" button to begin the process. This would add an unacceptable amount of processing time.
Can the approval process be begun from an upload from either ADI or WebADI? As mentioned before, from what we have observed today Oracle's approval process cannot be used. However, if either ADI application can enable beginning the workflow process, it might be helpful.
