Populating install base with past shipment records

 Previously, finished goods item was never flagged as "Tracked in Install Base" in item master, and sales order shipments have been made. The "Tracked in Install Base" flag is subsequently turned on, but can we populate the install base with the past shipment records? Is there a concurrent program that can be run to bring the records into install base? Or do we need to manually populate the install base using the interface table?
