Can we leave the tables AR_TRX_SUMMARY and AR_TRX_BAL_SUMMARY truncated?

 Hi.

a Few months ago we had a problem that merging customers was failing,

and we truncated the tables AR_TRX_SUMMARY and AR_TRX_BAL_SUMMARY ,

according to SR and note 303729.1 (Customer Merge Fails With Errors "ERROR: AR.AR_CMGT_ACCOUNT_MERGE.TRX_SUMMARY_ACCOUNT_MERGE).

Now we have the same problem with merging customers (fails).

since we don't use Collections (IEX) or credit management, we don't need these tables populated.

Is there a profile/setup we can use to stop populating these tables,

so the merge process won't be stuck again?
