upgrade from 8i to 10g

 Hi ,

I am having 8i database in AIX 5.3 and planing to upgarde to 10g.Here I would like to know what issue I could face during upgrade.

I got the brief idea from client that they are using Replication is Multi Master Replication which Ido not understand.

If any of you have soome idea then please let me know as I am a new guy in streams.
