Sales Stage Analysis

I am working to create reports that analyze individual sales stages.  One question I must answer is how many opportunties that make it to the facilitate decision stage continue to move on to closed/won.  Currently I am working in the Sales Stage History area but am not having any luck.  Any suggestions?
