DBCA Error Message

Hi All,

          i am trying to add enterprise manager to a database using the dbca. The dbca finds the instance and everything is well throughout the selection process. After confirming the addition to the instance, the following message appears:'could not find appropriate listener for this database configuring DB control requires the database to be registered with at lest one listener'  i checked the listener's status but all seems well, any ideas?
