Migration to AIX6.1/Oracle 11g: Should i migrate from raw devices to ASM

 Hello,
I am not experienced in ASM disk architecture for oracle files ( datafiles, on-line redo, controlfiles, ... ).

We're preparing migration to 11g and AIX 6.1.

My question is
 Should I consider migration from raw devices on present Oracle and AIX 5.3 system environment to
 ASM files on Oracle 11g and AIX 6.1?
