Request Opionions, Pros and Cons of Oracle Configuration Manager

Hello:

 

It's very clear that Oracle wants the details on our product configurations.  Every execution of opatch and OUI, every SR logged without this content results in automated chiding.  The issue is how to convince internal security and management in general that routinely phoning home to Oracle is safe and secure.

 

May I ask the Community:  are you using OCM?  Why or why not?  If you are, then:

how did you convince your management and internal security to allow this?
how do you ensure that no company-sensitive information is included?
is this information gathered at your discretion, or must it be on a schedule?
