Undersized instance memory

 

Hi,

From ADDM report i got the advise to increase my memory from 14 G to 17 G. Please advice can i go for that change.

Herewith I am uploading ADDM suggestion and AWR report.

My DB Details:

OS : AIX 6.1

DB : Oracle 11g R1 (11.1.0.7)

Storage : SAN (ASM Raw File System)

Finding 2: Undersized instance memory
Impact is .11 active sessions, 99.83% of total activity.

The Oracle instance memory (SGA and PGA) was inadequately sized, causing
additional I/O and CPU usage.
The value of parameter "memory_target" was "14336 M" during the analysis
period.
