Oracle VM server and VM manager installed fine, but unable to connect to server via web interface fo

 Just getting started with the VM products on a test box; got through the installation of 2.2 just fine (had to resize the default partitions in VM server, because VM manager wouldn't install in the designated partition due to lack of space), and took the defaults for most things on the VM manager install.  I did specify a static IP address and host name as part of the server install.  I can ping the host just fine, but I cannot connect to the host using the web browser interface.  I've tried all of the possible URL combinations available, both with and without
