Configurator - segment values can no longer have spaces?

We are upgrading from 8.10 to 9.0 and users are testing in PY. We have noticed that now we get an error on a segment if there is space in the UDC code. (example: code was '4 iron' and we we choose that, it returns an error even though the value is in the UDC table. If we change it to '4iron', it works perfectly). We are not using the Dynamic Configurator.

Anyone else seeing this?  Obviously we can just have the users change all of the segment value UDC codes to not include spaces, but we have LOTS of segment values and they are not going to like it.
