CIFS VFS server not responding - causing Linux db server to reboot

  Hi

we have a 2 node RAC production system running 10.2.04 SE on Oracle Linux X64 5.3

2.6.18-92.el5 #1 SMP Fri May 23 23:40:43 EDT 2008 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

We have mounted a CIFS share off of windows 2003 server for copying archive logs (hourly) and Rman backups (nightly)
most of the time, it is working fine but sometimes, we are getting the following errors

May  4 02:06:04 dbserver1 kernel:  CIFS VFS: Error 0xffffff90 on cifs_get_inode_info in lookup of \data.704.718077669.dbf
May  5 02:12:16 dbserver1 kernel:  CIFS VFS: Error 0xffffff90 on cifs_get_inode_info in lookup of \data.980.718164137.dbf
May  5 02:12:46 dbserver1 kernel:  CIFS VFS: Error 0xfffffff5 on cifs_get_inode_info in lookup of \data.980.718164137.dbf
