Siebel 8.1 PromotionWebService Issue

Hi Community,

My customer is implementing Siebel 8.1 for Order Management and integrating with other applications via web services.

They have hit an issue with the Promotion Web Service where the ApplyProductPromotion does not apply defaults cardinalities defined in promotion for child products. This is in contrast to behavior in UI. Here default child products are added correctly when promotion is added.

Now a defect has been found here and a bug has been raised (12-1XTIR67) so we will wait for a Fix - but due to project constraints we want to explore workarounds. When we call the method ApplyPromotion inputing the promotion Prod Id and the Quote Id and get back the response in the form of the quote structure. But the quote contains only the Promotion and Service Bundle Line Items, without any required sub-line Items. As the WS calls WF "ISS Promotion WS - ApplyProductPromotion" – I was wondering if there was any possible config based workaround that could be done
