Question about replacing Oracle JInitiator with JRE for an application on the Oracle app server 10g(

 We have currently an application in production with database as Oracle 10g (10.2.0.4.0), and the middle tier as Oracle application server 10g (9.0.4.0.0) which uses Oracle Forms’ services. The client machines uses Oracle JInitiator Version 1.3.1.13. In near future our organization may be planning to upgrade our desktops from Windows XP to Windows-7. In such case I heard that the JInitiator will not work on the clients with Windows-7 to get the application. Here I would like to include that the customer is reluctant to spend for any up gradation on this application. At this scenario, can we switch from
