When you cancel a PO line, is the Amount Cancelled field updated?

When you cancel a PO line, I know it rolls down stream to the shipment and distribution. My question however, is with the Amount Cancelled field on the Distribution. When the matching PO line is cancelled, does this Amount Cancelled field get updated as well?

I cannot find an example where it does/is getting updated and have not found definitive documentation that it does not. 

I can see where the Shipment Amount, Active Encumbrance Amount, GL Cancellation Date and Distriubution Quantity Cancelled fields are all updated correctly.

Any thoughts/ideas.
