How to link Inventory to IB when the item was migrated only as an instance

Hi,

To migrate instance items that are not in Inventory we use Open Interface but the problem that we have is:

If we do a RMA from a item that is in customer and was migrated only as an instance item (not in inventory), how the system link this to the instance item to update the install base that is not more in customer.
