orphaned dbsnmp sessions refuse to die (Zombies! Argghh!)

Interesting little problem I have with my 6 node RAC database.

Since upgrading to Enterprise Server 10.2.0.4, the agents have developed a quirk.

Namely, the agents create DBSNMP sessions in the Instance which persist even after the agent is stopped (nicely).

Furthermore, these DBSNMP process are not cleared up by PMON and are resistant to being KILLED. Now I have multiple DBSNMP sessions running and consuming resource (according to Grid Control), marked as KILLED but refusing to die. i.e. Zombies!

Any ideas?
