LDAP vs. TNS name resolution
We are using Unify (Sqlbase,Centura,Gupta) as one product and use their Oracle-gateway to connect to Oracle in other situations.
SQLbase is using a SQL.INI file in which you put a mapping between the logical name of the remote database and the connection method to oracle. Syntax is like this:
remotedbname=db01,@TNS:ora_db01
Now the customer switched to LDAP rather than using TNS and they are telling me that the connection doesn't work anymore.
I posted that in the unify newsgroup already waiting for comment there but maybe someone here knows a workaround or has some other advice to solve it.
