Calendar month rollover

Our organization currently uses neither calendar month nor payroll month in our payroll department. We have been advised based on our setup that the best selection would be to use Calendar month for our payroll considerations.

We would like to know of any possible issues that could arise based on rolling our payroll department to using Calendar month.

Has this been implemented and what were the issues encountered with the change being implemented, bugs in the system or loss of data, not working correctly.
