Changing OSM 6.3.1 target OSM database, with no orders in OSM?

 We have deployed OSM 6.3.1 on solaris environment and targeted on 10.2.0.4 database. Now, we have to change the target database (same version). Is it possible to just deploy the database part or will we have to redeploy OSM ears as well? ALso, if selective installation is possible, then 1. What are the parameters that should be set in installationoptions file for silent installation?
2. I understand that Model will have to be redeployed but would deploying and registering plugins would be needed to be redone?
