Missing entries in registry after installing Oracle 11gR2 EE on Windows 7.

 Hi,

I have installed Oracle 11gR2 EE on Windows 7 (64bit). Everything is OK as usual, client libraries, networking support, etc.  are present, so that e.g. sqlplus can be used without problems.

What is unusual is that there is no entry in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE for this oracle home. The consequence is that programs that look for Oracle homes in the registry (like TOAD) do not work.

Did I do something wrong? In previous versions there was always an entry in the registry for every Oracle home.

Howdy, Stranger!
