What is the correct procedure for deleting Obsolete Products data from Siebel ?

Hi All,
What is the correct procedure for deleting Obsolete Products data from Siebel?

Customer was trying to do it via EIM but found that it is not a good practice to delete products data via EIM.

I research in Knowledge Base but I could not find any helpful information.
