ORA-4031 on Oracle Linux 5 and 11gr1

 I am running Oracle Linux 5 and Oracle 11.1.0.7 database and seeing ORA-04031 errors. My SGA is 1744M, I am unable to increase the SGA to 2500M because there is 2GB limit on SGA on 32 bit Linux. Someone told me there is a way out by modifying Linux memory parameter but I am unable to find the article.
