Web Services Errors WSDL and Messages

in CRM On Demand - Web Services Integration (MOSC) Question
Hello,

We are integrating an ERP system with CRM On Demand.  The messages originate in the ERP system and be sent to CRM On Demand.  If the message ends in error we would like to send a message back to the originating ERP application via web services wsdl.  Is this possible?
