shared virtual disk non-sharable virtual disk

 I am building a PV fileserver for High Availability (accessible from three nodes)
I want to attach 10 SCSI drive to this file server.

I cannot find the information to help me decide, which type of virtual disk, shared or not shared, I should be using.
