How to setup 1 SO line and many shipping lines

Hi,

How to if I would like to have 1 SO line for many shipping lines?

What I do is:

1. Create a sales order lines and book sales order

2. Split shipping transaction for a specific lines

3. deliver each line on many times

But SO line is splitted as I have done splitting shipping lines.  What I want is I would like to monitor 1 SO line: for querying, to control quantity programmatically.

Please anyone inform me - Can I see 1 SO line for many shipping lines as I described above?  How to setup, then?

Or depend on item type - It's seemed that the last project I had seen the status is "partial shipped" something
