OVMS: Outdated OpenVMS JRE support

Currently, the available information from Oracle indicates that the latest versions of the JRE for OpenVMS (JRE for OpenVMS Alpha V1.5 and JRE for OpenVMS Integrity V1.5 and V6.0) cannot be used by the Oracle Database server for loading and executing JAVA classes. Is there any hint of this changing any time soon? The JRE for OpenVMS V1.4.x (which is the ONLY version supported by the Oracle Database server on OpenVMS Alpha and Integrity) was released about six years ago! Is there any hope of getting support for a recently released version of the OpenVMS JRE?
