Performance gains when using large pages on AIX (memory)

Page 8-13 of "Oracle® Database Administrator’s Reference 10g Release 1 (10.1) for UNIX Systems: AIX-Based Systems, Apple Mac OS X, hp HP-UX, hp Tru64 UNIX, Linux, and Solaris Operating System Part No. B10812-06" outlines how large pages will be attempted to be used when lock_sga=true.
My question is around the performance benefits of using large pages (16MB) - apart from the pinning aspect (to avoid paging of the SGA), does Oracle have metrics on:

1) The performance benefits of using large pages?
2) The size of SGA at which to consider use of large pages (i.e. how many GB in size would your SGA have to be before considering large pages as a performance enhancer)?

Howdy, Stranger!
