Is there a way to tell if AAI's are active? / Any way to mass copy AAI's?

Has anyone found a way to tell if AAI's are active? We're doing a consolidation and would like to retire and not migrate inactive AAI's to from one environment to another.

Any way to copy AAI's from one environment to another?
