Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. What is the different between Accounting/Reporting Sequencing and Document sequencing?

Hi,

Does anyone know what is the difference between accounting/reporting sequencing and document sequencing?

If I have created document sequencing for AP/AR subledgers and GL, does it have the same effect as having the accounting sequence?

In particular, under what situation would you enable or use the accounting and reporting sequencing?
