automatic or programatical 'Finally Close' of POs

Hi,

We have thousands of POs which are in 'Closed' status and we want Finally Close them, so that we can purge the old POs.

Is there any program thru which we can Finally Close all the old POs or is it possible to Finally Close a PO programatically (thru an API call), so that we can build a custom program around it?
