Removing Host, Database, and Applications - Best Practice

I am wondering if there is a way to cleanly remove targets/hosts/applications  from OEM GC 10r5?  Where can I find steps to do this properly?  My next question is "is there some way to factory default an OEM GC instance so that targets may be added anew?".
